Thanksgiving is tomorrow and Christmas is around the corner. I would like to share some tips on how to maintain your health and wellness during the holidays.
⭐️ 8 tips for a low vibration plate during the holidays
1. Don’t skip meals: Stick to your meal routines and avoid skipping meals to ensure a balanced intake throughout the day.
2. Grab a smaller plate: To prevent overeating and practice mindful eating by paying attention to your body’s hunger cues.
3. Don’t eat with your eyes: Focus on your hunger level rather than visually sizing up your food.
4. Practice portion control: Emphasizing veggies, proteins, and sensible portions of carbs to avoid overfilling your plate.
5. Choose nutrient dense foods:Start simple and fill your plate with veggies, fruits, green salads, and lean meats. If you see a yummy looking side dish that is high in calories, take just a taste of it. You can go back for more later if you’re still hungry.
6. Start with vegetables
7. Limit alcohol and juice intake: Limit excess sugar intake and manage overall calorie consumption.
8. Make healthy food swipes / modify recipe
Bonus Tips:
- Dodge the food coma by being mindful of your eating pace and choices.
- Stay active to balance festive indulgences with physical activity.

In the past, when it came to my health and wellness journey, I wasn’t consistent. Mainly because my motivation wasn’t strong enough to keep me on track. My setbacks included being an emotional eater - when I was happy, I indulged in sweets and junk food, and when I was sad, I would often skip meals, which wasn’t good for me. I used to measure myself against others’ body types instead of focusing on my own goals.
Over the years, as I educated myself and gained a better understanding, I managed to shift my mindset and find a stronger reason to pursue a healthier path. Sometimes, it’s essential to take a step back and analyze why we keep going backward in our life journeys.
In the nutrition playbook, this is one of the questions I ask my client. Identifying your setbacks can be a crucial step in making the positive changes you desire.

Where you inform what the 5-1-1 for contraction is?
I recently had a conversation with my cousin who mentioned her plan to rush to the hospital as soon as she feels a contraction. My advice here is not to act too quickly, as there's a 50/50 chance you might end up being sent back home.
The 5-1-1 rule is an important guideline to follow during labor. It means contractions should occur every 5 minutes, lasting for 1 minute each, consistently, for at least an hour. However, reaching the hospital doesn't necessarily guarantee the immediate arrival of your baby. There are other signs to watch for, like your water breaking and more.
Especially for first time moms this might just be a guide for you to follow. Since labor isn’t linear, it can sometimes speed up and slow down, so give yourself some time to see if the 4-5 minute frequency of contractions sustains. Remember, rules like this are only tools. Also, listen to your body, if you feel like you want to stay home longer, or go in sooner, do what you need to feel safe and honor your instinct.

Who doesn’t enjoy a good read? I have a passion for exploring various books that can enhance my skills as a nutrition coach. My brand coach recommended this particular book to me, and it’s interesting how much of what I preach aligns with the concepts in this book.
Now, let’s dive into the topic of ‘normal eating.’ What does it mean to you?
Share this post so we could have an open and honest decision. I will share my opinion once I see your thoughts.

People often assume that when you say I’m changing my eating habits, it means you having salads every day. That’s not true at all. It’s about finding the right balance, watching your portions, and enjoying everything in moderation.
We shouldn’t always deprive ourselves of the foods we love; it’s just not practical. In my approach, I don’t say “no” to your favorites; I simply tweak them to make them healthier.

Now that I have your attention being consistent is NOT ghetto. Actually being consistent will help you with being discipline. Consistency is not about perfection, it’s about progress. It’s about showing up everyday, and taking small steps towards your goals.
A lot of my followers mention one of their biggest single struggle when it comes to their goals is being consistent.
Here are some tips that can help with being consistent:
⭐️Define: What does consistency looks like to you. Where in your life would you like to be consistent? What’s does consistent looks like for you? If thats going to the gym 1 or 2 times a week. If for any reason your unable to make it, that’s perfectly fine. Instead consider engaging in a home exercise routine, like 10 squats, which can constitute your workout for the day.
⭐️Commit: Once you figure what consistency means to you and how it will look like. Commit to it for 1 or 2 months. Once that become a habit, you can then redefine your consent of consistency and introduce new elements. Meaning if you going to the gym 1x a week, now challenge yourself to increase it to 2 or 3 times a week and make it a habit.
⭐️Accountability: Get an accountability partner that will help you stay on track with your goals. Text your girls or fellas and start a group chat about your health and wellness goals. When I first started my gym journey I would always go with a group of friends, now I go solo dolo.
⭐️Habit Tracking: Tracking your habit will help you keep track of the progress you are making. This will push you to keep going and not give up. Remember to celebrate the small wins.
Remember, consistency is not about perfection, it’s about never stopping. So keep going, because honey, the world isn’t ready for your greatness!
